Personal History: He was raised by a Black Arts Witch whom he believes was his grandmother. She gave him a book which he was suppose to hand over to the Merchant personally, the day she turned him over to the local Shade guard for transportation to the Merchant. The guard got wind of the book and sent the thief, Tish, a cat shapeshifter in his employment, to collect it. Tish instead, took the book for her own and kidnapped the boy. Beau was left in the care of the white witch, Mary and her husband Joel Smith, a blacksmith. Beau is not happy to be “Rescued”. It interfers with his plans to become a mighty warlock. Recongnising the danger Beau posed to their family, Mary placed a gag spell on the boy so he cannot speak to anyone outside of the family. She did not realize he could still write vage letters. This oversight almost led to the capture of Keyo and Jolene, but fortunately for our heroes, his tactics failed.
